Dr. Reza Khazaie and a team of dental and non-dental volunteers with KIDS (Kids International Dental Services) traveled to Cape Verde, Africa in May 2019. This was Dr. Khazaie’s fourth mission trip to Africa.
Our amazing team took two long flights (20+ hours) and a ferry to get to Santo Antao, an island off Cape Verde. Cape Verde is an island country in the central Atlantic Ocean.
We treated over 2000 patients during the week we were there and were able to educate, provide fluoride treatments, and treat hundreds of urgent dental issues. Our team worked very hard to make a difference for these beautiful children.
