Introduction
Is Clear Choice Really The Clear Choice?
I am frequently asked when it comes to dental implants and All On 4 dental implants, what’s the difference between Willow Pass Dental Care and Clear Choice?
I will answer that question.
Before I do, my objective is to provide a sincere answer, and not tear down Clear Choice or any other national dental implant or dentistry chain.
My goal is to give a response based on my own experiences, patient feedback, and other prosthodontists that I respect.
Recognized Expert or Dentist
Experience / Expertise

When choosing Willow Pass Dental Care, you are choosing me, Dr. Reza Khazaie, and my team of specialists. I am board certified in dentistry and also a prosthodontist. A prosthodontist is a “recognized expert” who has years of advanced training in restoring and replacing teeth. We are specialists in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, dentures, bridges, dental crowns, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ / TMD), and more.
At Clear Choice, you may or may not be dealing with a prosthodontist. We see many former patients of Clear Choice, who come to us for help to repair substandard work and damage caused by less experienced dentists at Clear Choice. Kim, a new patient of ours, had previously gone to Clear Choice. She said, “Went to Clear Choice for consult. (But) I need a more reasonable option with a professional with more experience than my regular dentist.”
Local vs. National Chain
Local

As a renowned prosthodontist around the world, I have built our reputation on our service in the Concord community — not the marketing of a national chain where you don’t get to know the doctor and the support team. At Willow Pass Dental Care we make you feel part of our family.
Here’s what some recent patients have said:

“Great environment and reception!” — Bryan K. – 5-Star Review

“My experiences have been positive in every way, from entrance to departure. The team is pleasant, caring and accommodating.” — Constance M. – 5-Star Review
“Excellent experience as usual. The office is clean and professional in appearance. Lobby support staff very professional, immediately greeted me when I entered and knew my name.” — Paul R – 5-Star Review
“LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their customer service and the work they do!!” – Anisha D – 5-Star Review
“I got in quickly on a referral from my prosthodontist in southern California. The staff was friendly and efficient and my somewhat sophisticated prosthodontic repair problem was solved within a couple of hours. Dr. Khazaie knows his craft and has a lab on-site. I will go back and send others.” – Joyce T. – 5-Star Review
“I had a time issue, and a need for serious work quickly. Not only did they get me in the same day I called, it appears that the work will be completed before I need to leave for a wedding out of the country. These people REALLY care about you, your comfort, and your appearance. Dr. Reza and his staff are the best.” – Paula F. – 5-Star Review
In addition to making you feel part of our family, we are also part of the fabric of Concord. We invest in the local Concord community and surrounding areas. We also strive to make a difference around the world like our recent mission with Kids International Dental Services.
Our goal is to make a difference. And like family, you can trust you will find us here today and 20 years from now.
Many national chains recruit and train doctors and staff who are not as invested in the community. They may or may not be there for you and your family in the future.
Easy or Difficult
Trust and Transparency

One thing you will appreciate about Willow Pass Dental Care is the transparency in our pricing for All On 4 dental implants. We make it easy. Just visit our website here, and you can receive free of charge our All On 4 Dental Implant Assessment & Guide. Our free online assessment will guide you step-by-step on the choices you have that will impact your bottom line for dental implants. We will also put it in writing and email it to you, as well. Of course, a consultation will be necessary to ensure you are in good health and have adequate bone mass for the choices you selected. In the event, there are issues that may require bone grafting or additional treatment; this can impact your price.
At Clear Choice, there is no online quote or guide. You must go to their offices for a consultation to even get a price.
Same Doctor vs. Referral
Continued Service & Maintenance

After you’ve invested thousands of dollars into a beautiful smile, you would expect to have the doctor available for checkups and maintenance.
Not so with Clear Choice.
After the surgery is completed, Clear Choice is done. They will refer you out to a doctor for dental implant maintenance.
Of course, that is an additional fee depending on what needs to be done.
At Willow Pass Dental Care we look at you as a patient for life.
We provide checkups,
maintenance,
You get the same doctor — not a referral.
And we even call you to see how you are doing.
In other words, we care about you.
Mixed Reviews vs. 500+ 5-Star Reviews
Same Day Implant Service

Clear Choice aggressively markets same-day implants, but their reviews from patients are mixed. The feedback I have received from patients who have consulted with Clear Choice is that they were impressed with the office tour as well as the exam and digital x-rays, but what stood out to them was Clear Choice said they could do all the work in a day.
Same-day dental implant procedures include the implant and temporary teeth. That’s the same service we provide at Willow Pass Dental Care. However, you will have a healing period of several months (4 to 5 months) before your mouth and jaw are ready for your permanent dental restorations. This is where you will appreciate the personalized service and care rather than the rush of getting the work done in a single day. You are making a substantial investment and need an expert who will make the necessary personalized care and adjustments to provide you with the perfect smile.
Mixed vs. Stellar Reviews
500+ 5-Star Reviews Aren't Wrong

While no dentist’s office is perfect, there will always be some reviews that are less than stellar, but the vast majority of the reviews we receive at Willow Pass Dental Care are 5-star reviews — and we have over 500 and counting!
The reviews from patients for Clear Choice are mixed at best.
- “Clear Choice is the Wrong Choice! Clear Choice is a scam, money-hungry company.” — pissedconsumer.com – AnnualBison, Review #1683545
- “They definitely hurt my mouth and life. I have letters from doctors noting the detrimental effect of this process of living with ill-fitting teeth.” — Pissedconsumer.com – EnchantingLionfish893
- “Clear Choice is all hype. Bait and switch tactics are utilized… also setting up financing, then taking the money and NOT do the work. Choosing a lawyer this week, stay away, or you’ll pay big time.”
- “I was told my “temporary” teeth would last 2 years … they didn’t last 2 months.”
- “Over a year ago now, I paid $40,000 to begin the process of getting dental implants. The commercials state that they will do the whole procedure of pulling teeth and putting in the implants in one day. I was told that due to some health issues, I may have to wait a few weeks after having my teeth pulled before they could do the implants. I had to wait MUCH longer. I was without teeth for over a year! Now that I have implants in, I have had the implants break at least three times, some with no obvious cause, and some when eating food (that Clear Choice said it was fine to eat with the implants) that should not have caused any damage. Every time there was a break, it took several days to even get an appointment to assess the damaged implants, and sometimes I had to wait after that to get any repairs done. The most recent break was a few days ago. At least 4 of my implants cracked and fell out all the way down to the gumline. This has made it nearly impossible for me to eat, and is painful due to sharp pieces left where the implants once were. Now, after reporting the damage to Clear Choice, they are too busy and haven’t even set up an appointment to get them fixed yet. I am sitting here at home, just waiting and hoping that they can find an appointment for me soon, but it doesn’t sound likely.” – Complaint filed with Better Business Bureau
Culture and Leadership
Culture & Values

At Willow Pass Dental Care, we take pride in our mission. From the moment you step foot inside our office, you are cared for by our team. Check out our reviews and see how often patients refer to the care and professionalism of our team.
A former Clear Choice employee gave this advice to a new employee just starting: “She told me that I should not share any information about myself, told me to always say I’m doing great when someone asks, document everything via email, and trust no one.” This new employee stayed only 18 months and thanked her for the advice. That new employee said, “Gossip was rampant, usually whisper campaigns designed to bring down some poor schmuck who angered the wrong person. There was an oppression in the office that’s hard to describe, but I felt it on my first day and every day after.” — Source:Â Glassdoor
I am sure this is not the case at every Clear Choice location.
But it’s also not just one needle in a haystack.
One Clear Choice employee recently said on Glassdoor, “Worst company culture I’ve ever worked in!”
There are other examples you can easily find on the internet. Again, I’m not bashing Clear Choice, and I realize there are likely disgruntled employees at every company. I’m just saying read their reviews, and read my reviews. You will get the idea of the culture and leadership of a company.
