Dr. Reza Khazaie and a team of dental professionals traveled with KIDS (Kids International Dental Services) to South Africa in November to treat impoverished children in several areas in Soweto and also Alexandra (both suburbs of Johannesburg). During the six days they saw a total of 2,624 children. They treated 1,310 children with a preventative Fluoride varnish and extracted 627 teeth, as well as restored the smiles to several dozen others. Everyone on the team worked hard to make a difference for these beautiful children.
